We need to talk about exams. There’s too much unnecessary pressure on young people, and we know this is having a serious impact on their mental health with record numbers being referred for support – more than 2 in 5 young people cite exams as one of the main negative impacts on their mental health.
- What are we asking MPs for?
At a Westminster Hall Debate on the 15th October MPs will have the opportunity to discuss reforming the educational assessment system. This is a great opportunity to raise what we've been calling for with #MissingTheMark. You can write to your MP in under two minutes, asking them to attend and raise these changes at the debate:
- No more SATS.
- Reduce high-stakes exams in GCSE and A-level.
- Introduce different types of assessment, tailored to each subject.
- How could these changes be achieved?
